Hiring: Document Imaging Technician (NIGHTS) Company: Chesapeake Regional Healthcare Location: Chesapeake, VA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 11:48:31 Target Skills & Keywords : Quality Assurance About the job Experience: •3 to five years in a hospital’s Health Information Department or in a physician’s office Required Skills: •Reconcile the paper medical records with the hospital census to verify receipt of all records. •Confirm the patient’s name, medical record number, and account number on every page in the chart, front and back. •Add patient stickers to any forms missing demographic information. •Document Review and Quality Assurance •Review the scanned information versus the paper documents to ensure all documents are readable, in the correct order, and that the right side of the document has been scanned. •Examine the quality of each page and stamp illegible documents with the “Poor Quality Original” stamp. •Ensure all pages are in the same and proper direction. •Repair forms as needed such as torn, wrinkled, folded, and dog-eared pages. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent •Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology •Qualified applicants must have extensive working knowledge of medical terminology and patient record content and format for inpatients and outpatients.
