Hiring: Director Supplier Quality Company: Blue Origin Location: Huntsville, AL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:01:43 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Quality Assurance, Root Cause Analysis About the job Experience: •10+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or related discipline •5+ years of people management experience Required Skills: •Lead and direct Blue’s supplier quality organization, establishing strategies and processes to ensure suppliers meet quality, reliability, on time delivery and compliance requirements in support of program and production objectives. •Lead and oversee strategic development of the supplier quality organization in alignment with Blue Origin’s growing portfolio of products and businesses. •Lead a team of two Senior Managers and multiple Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) responsible for supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoring Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field •Demonstrated experience leading supplier audits and qualification activities •Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, APQP, SPC, and MSA •Strong knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality management system standards •Master’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field •ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) •Operational familiarity with government/FAR/DFARS procurement quality requirements •Relocation provided – must reside full time in one of our mfg sites located in either Kent, Washington, Huntsville, Al or Cape Canaveral, FL •Travel expected up to 50% of the time Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
