Hiring: Director, Portfolio Manager - Project Finance and Infrastructure Company: Huntington Commercial Bank Location: Columbus, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 17:56:32 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords: Project Finance, Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, Power, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Financial Modeling, Credit Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis, Due Diligence, P3, Public Private Partnership, O&M, Power Purchase Agreement, Structured Finance, Risk Rating, Legal Documentation, Deal Execution Experience: - 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: underwriting, credit, or portfolio management in Project Finance for the power and renewables sector - Competence in Financial Modeling - Experience working in a regulated financial institution setting - Demonstrated ability to manage more than one client or major initiative - Prior involvement in training, mentoring, and performance review processes is a plus Required Skills: - Execute high-quality underwritings, refinancings, and amendments, including extensive due diligence, recommendations around structure, pricing, and capital allocation - Apply credit policy to develop solutions that meet client needs while maintaining appropriate risk acceptance criteria - Provide independent, in-depth analysis of financial statements, valuation, projections including stress tests, industry and competitive dynamics, business plans, and key risks and mitigants - Manage a portfolio of clients and own the overall quality and on-time completion of annual reviews, renewals, amendments/waivers, ancillary credit product approvals, and quarterly risk ratings - Maintain knowledge mastery of each client, the energy industry segment, and the competitive environment - Produce recommendations around active portfolio management solutions to minimize credit losses and effectively manage and present watchlist clients - Negotiate and ensure legal documentation related to credit events incorporates approved terms and conditions - Coordinate and communicate with internal/external counsel - Conduct post-closing operational and contractual activities and safeguard operational and financial performance of renewable energy projects - Deliver solid credit analyses and risk rating recommendations with a high level of critical thinking - Communicate effectively both internally and externally - Create and deliver professional presentations Qualifications: - Bachelors degree preferably in finance, economics, or accounting with high academic achievement - Strong knowledge and understanding of corporate banking credits, cash flow analysis, and underwriting guidelines - In-depth knowledge of the US Project Finance industry - MBA, CFA (or progressing to the Charter), or CPA is desirable - Ability to thoroughly analyze credits on an independent basis and communicate findings concisely - Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Detailed knowledge of renewable energy project design, functioning, and operations & maintenance (O&M), power purchase agreements, and a strong understanding of renewable energy project finance Compensation: $93,000 - $217,000 Annual Salary. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
