Enforce that all potential or real hazards and injuries are reported, work practices are properly followed, all appropriate PPE is used, and all applicable safety training is delivered. •Develop short and long-term strategies and objectives including capital and workforce planning and administer operating functions, approvals, reports, and metrics. •Develop, lead, and sponsor Lean Manufacturing strategies. Oversee continuous improvement activities and ensure principles of operational excellence are driven deeply into the culture and regularly assessed for improvement; strategically deploy lean tools to drive step-change improvements; and produce and deliver results to meet business objectives. •Develop, supervise, evaluate, and coach direct reports and the facility’s leadership team. Provide the necessary coaching and mentoring to develop both technical and managerial skills. •Ensure and promote positive employee and union relations (where applicable) to ensure a highly motivated workforce that is dedicated to, and supportive of meeting Customer requirements and company objectives.
