Hiring: Director of Training and Development Company: Northwestern Mutual Location: Campbell, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 13:16:47 Employment Type: Full-time / On-site About the job Required Skills: •Partner with network and district office leadership on shared training and production goals and execute the company’s training strategy for all non-leadership roles at the network office. •Create and maintain an annual training calendar for the network and district offices. Proactively communicate calendar to leadership, facilitators, and support staff. •Supervise candidates through the training requirements of the contracting process. Oversee Basics Day including facilitators, materials, reports, resolution of all issues for candidates. •Supervise the facilitation of Fastrack Sales School, Fastrack Forward, Weekly and Monthly Client Builder, Network Office Days, and other office training programs. Facilitate where needed. •Partner with leadership and other mentors to monitor individuals’ overall progress and results by monitoring learning paths, metrics, measurement of goals, and share recommendations with leadership, for all levels and tenures of representatives and like-qualified staff. •Strive to streamline processes and practices, moderate and proactively problem-solve training issues as an overall component of office best practices. •Assist with practice transitions; either to new model or succession planning, and training of new staff •Support faculty members including training and selection of facilitators, facilitator development plans and evaluation assessments. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree •2-3-years of experience developing and facilitating training programs. •Financial services industry experience preferred. •Effectively leads and facilitates groups of people and the work of others. •Instructional design experience and superior presentation skills. •Works effectively with people at all levels and build strong relationships. •Capable of coaching facilitators and other instructors and effectively provide feedback from an educational framework. •Aptitude for addressing issues in a proactive and creative manner, mediate training-related issues, and lead crucial conversations using a results-focused approach. •Effectively manage time to address multiple priorities at multiple levels. •Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
