Hiring: Director of Property Management Company: Community Roots Housing Location: Seattle, WA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 12:03:32 Employment Type: Contract / Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office, Portfolio Management About the job Experience: •Supervise five Portfolio Managers over 39 sites Required Skills: •The Director of Property Management will collaborate with and report to the Vice President of Property Operations to provide oversight and guidance to for the Property Management Department and all CRH properties. •Monitors monthly financial reports to ensure operational budgets are within the budgeted limits for the building portfolio •Oversees the initial draft of the annual building budgets •Supports staff in enforcement of Community Roots Housing rent collection policies and procedures •Ensures monthly batch reports are turned in and processed •Track and report to Vice President of Property Operations on vacancies, delinquencies, certifications due, financials, resident concerns, and other key metrics using property management software and other tools •Lead and train staff on property management software and other management tools •Identifies opportunities for cross department collaboration and effectively builds relationships to facilitate cross functional teams Qualifications: •Excellent leadership, communication, management, and organizational skills •Minimum seven years’ experience in affordable housing property management, auditing or other related area, which must include a working knowledge/experience with IRS Section 42 and HUD compliance •Knowledge of landlord tenant law and fair housing •Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience, multiple staff within property management •Standard Business English, ability to speak, read and write •Intermediate Computer Skills; Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet •Demonstrated capacity to follow instructions accurately and to problem solve effectively •Proven ability to work with little or no direct supervision on a daily basis •Demonstrated capacity to organize time efficiently, prioritize tasks and perform tasks in a self-directed manner •Demonstrated capacity to cope with deadline pressures and customer service needs Compensation: •$130,000 - $140,000 / year •Medical HMO, dental and vision insurance is free for employee only coverage Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
