Please read the job requirements, then apply here: https://nc.wd108.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/NC_Careers/job/Maintenance-Director---B-Ship60084093_JR-124050?utm_source=work4nc&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=main •Oversee the installation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, IT, communications, structural, and other facility systems throughout the Battleship Memorial. •Direct Maintenance Department staff, volunteers, and community service groups supporting the upkeep of the Battleship and surrounding grounds. •Develop departmental budget and work schedules while effectively allocating resources to meet maintenance and preservation needs. •Maintain electrical systems and emergency systems and serve as the technical liaison for the Battleship. •Serve as the Memorial’s Safety Officer, ensuring safe conditions; assist with accident investigations, safety mitigation, and SDS compliance. •Supervise Night Watch staff and ensure the site is properly secured and maintained outside of regular operating hours. •Interact positively with visitors, answer questions about the Battleship and its history, assist during medical emergencies, and support special events and activities at the Memorial. Qualifications: •Must be available to work the schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with occasional weekends and holidays required as needed. •Must be able to work frequently in close quarters, crawl spaces, shafts, manholes, small, enclosed rooms, sewage and water line pipes, and other confined areas as work is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways. •Must be able to occasionally work while wearing a respirator. •Must be able to work being subject to extreme heat, hazards, noise, oils, vibration, inside environmental conditions, and outside environmental conditions. •A sign-on bonus of $1000 is being offered for eligible candidates.
