Hiring: Director of Human Rights Compliance and Investigations Company: Tulsa Public Schools Location: Tulsa, OK Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 15:25:35 About the job Experience: •Seven (7) years of workplace and/or human rights investigative experience Required Skills: •Nondiscrimination compliance across district departments •Case management system selection and administration Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible related experience totaling four (4) years •Solid functional working knowledge of federal and state nondiscrimination law as applied in public school districts, including Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, Section 504, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 •Solid functional working knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the handling of student records in investigations involving students •Knowledge of Oklahoma mandatory reporting requirements and the circumstances under which a matter must be referred to law enforcement or the Department of Human Services •Demonstrated capacity to conduct impartial investigative interviews of employees, students, families, and community members, including witnesses who are minors •Demonstrated capacity to gather, document, and preserve evidence and maintain complete and accurate case records •Demonstrated capacity to write clear, defensible investigative reports and findings that withstand review by legal counsel, the Office for Civil Rights, and the EEOC •Demonstrated capacity to recognize conflicts of interest and recuse appropriately, and to maintain impartiality in contested matters •Demonstrated capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion and in a manner that preserves legal privileges and upholds confidentiality requirements •Demonstrated capacity to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to school leaders, district leadership, employees, and families Compensation: •Competitive benefits and rewards package •Our core values of equity, character, excellence, team, and joy guide how we work and interact with each other and our community Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
