Required Skills: •Manages and leads a team of high-performing economists. •Oversees the day-to-day development and communication of corporate industry and macroeconomic forecasts from the Economics team. •Provides market data, analytical assessment of current and future market dynamics, competitive activity assessments, optimization support and strategic counsel to business partners throughout the company. •Works with compliance, government affairs, refining, business development, and other organizations to align corporate views on energy markets, regulatory policy, and new projects for capital investment. •Evaluates statistically robust and scientifically rigorous economic models to forecast market demands, commodity prices, operational margins and other quantitative deliverables; recommends improvements to drive best practices. •Coordinates corporate scenario planning efforts including critical risk identification, sensitivity analysis, and scenario evaluations. •Strategically manages process documentation and internal efforts to enhance efficient working patterns. •Recruits, develops and maintains team of lead economists, senior economists and economists via commanding knowledge of econometric theory, cross-functional organization, the energy industry and refining processes.
