Required Skills: •The successful candidate will serve as the company's subject matter expert for ERCOT interconnection strategy while working closely with development, engineering, finance, commercial, and executive leadership. This individual will also provide technical guidance for acquisitions, project due diligence, and transmission planning initiatives. •Lead generator and large-load interconnection activities within ERCOT, ensuring projects remain on schedule and in compliance with applicable market rules and protocols. •Manage projects throughout the ERCOT interconnection lifecycle, including screening studies, Full Interconnection Studies (FIS), facilities studies, construction coordination, and grid synchronization. •Coordinate directly with ERCOT, Transmission Service Providers (TSPs), utilities, and engineering consultants to advance projects through the interconnection queue. •Review study assumptions, network upgrade requirements, and technical deliverables to ensure accurate project evaluation. •Evaluate transmission system capabilities through injection analyses and feasibility assessments. •Dynamic and transient stability analysis •Analyze congestion risks, curtailment exposure, and transmission limitations to support project development decisions. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline. •Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting generator or large-load interconnection projects within ERCOT. •Demonstrated experience managing ERCOT interconnection applications and study processes. •Proven ability to review and interpret Full Interconnection Studies and transmission upgrade requirements. •Background in technical due diligence for acquisitions or project financing. •Operational familiarity with regional transmission planning and long-term grid expansion initiatives.
