Develops and maintains design standards and quality expectations for physical improvements and communicates them to consultants, contractors, and others performing construction on campus. •Management skills, particularly in decision-making, are required. The ability to gather and thoroughly analyze information in order to make well-founded recommendations to The Jackson Laboratory’s senior management is required. •Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. The ability to communicate with the JAX community, the public, and the media regarding planning, design, and construction issues is required. •Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers and Facilities/Project Management related software (MS Windows, AutoCAD, MS Office group, MS Project or Primavera project software, Timberline, e-Builder etc..) Qualifications: •Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering, or directly related field (AIA or PE registration or ability to be registered within 12 months preferred).
