As part of Burns & McDonnell, our team combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting to address some of the most complex challenges facing the energy and infrastructure sectors. •We are seeking an experienced, people‑focused leader to serve as Director of Energy & Utilities Consulting for our Mountain Region, based in Boise. This role provides regional leadership for our Energy & Utilities Consulting (EUC) practice and is responsible for driving strategy, growth, and performance across multiple consulting business lines. •Our Energy & Utilities Consulting Practice Brings Together Our Energy Advisory And Power Systems Planning Capabilities To Deliver Integrated, End‑to‑end Services To Power Generation And Power Delivery Clients. These Offerings Include •Transmission Planning & Power Systems Analysis •This individual will lead teams delivering technical, economic, and strategic solutions that support clients’ energy transition initiatives. The role requires strong business and financial acumen, a commitment to people development, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable results. •Strategic Leadership •Develop and execute regional business plans and strategies aligned with enterprise objectives and market opportunities. •Identify, develop, and implement operational, marketing, pricing, and client retention strategies. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related degree from an accredited program and 13 years relevant consulting experience required. •Master's degree MBA preferred. •Excellent business acumen with proven success managing consulting engagements. •Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly and efficiently interpret large data sets. •Demonstrated capacity to uncover customer needs, develop recommendations and deliver them persuasively. •Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills. •In-depth knowledge of financial concepts. •Excellent planning and analytical skills. •Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients. •This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
