Hiring: Director, EHS Company: NBCUniversal Location: Universal City, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:11:35 Employment Type: Full-time / On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Epic Systems About the job Experience: •1-4 years of experience in media, entertainment or film •10+ years of experience in the Environmental Health and Safety field •5+ years of demonstrated experience leading and managing EHS programs and projects •4 years of experience in media, entertainment or film Required Skills: •The EHS Director will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and for developing and implementing policies and procedures to protect the health and safety of employees, tenants, visitors, and the community. •Develop and implement an effective EHS program that includes policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations •Institute and ensure the team meets the inspection schedule and compliance audit expectations •Oversee the Injury and Illness Prevention Program including investigations into incidents, near misses, and accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence •Develop and track EHS training to relevant populations •Manage interactions with outside agencies, such as Cal/OSHA, Fire Department, AQMD, CUPA, and local agencies, to obtain favorable investigation results and ensure compliance with regulations •Cooperate with other management teams, such as Legal, Studio Design & Construction, Production Services and Facilities, to ensure that EHS considerations are integrated into all aspects of the Studio's operations •Develop strategies for compliance with new EHS regulations Qualifications: •Completed bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, chemistry or biology or another related field •Comfortable working in an environment where your direction will only occur through the powers of influence •Computer savvy and must be comfortable working with enterprise software •Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time •Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills •Has worked in a professional environment •A master’s degree in EHS, engineering, science or another related field •Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist •Demonstrated capacity to lift/carry items weighing up to 25 pounds. •Demonstrated capacity to stand/walk a minimum of four (4) hours per day Compensation: •$150,000 - $180,000 / year Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
