Required Skills: •Operate directional drilling equipment (Vermeer, Ditch Witch, or similar HDD machines). •Perform underground bores for fiber optic conduit, cable placement, and utility installation. •Read and interpret construction prints, bore plans, and utility locates. •Locate and pothole existing utilities prior to drilling. •Monitor drill path using tracking systems to maintain proper depth and alignment. •Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on drilling equipment. •Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drill rigs and support equipment. •Coordinate with locator, laborers, and foreman to ensure safe job execution. Qualifications: •2+ years of experience operating directional drilling equipment in telecom or utility construction. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret construction drawings and bore profiles. •Knowledge of utility locating processes (811/Miss Dig). •In-depth knowledge of underground safety practices. •Valid CDL preferred; ability and willingness to obtain a CDL upon hire required.
