Required Skills: •Operate electronic locating equipment (Digitrak, Vermeer, Subsite, or similar systems) to track drill head position and depth. •Communicate continuously with the Drill Operator to maintain proper bore path alignment and grade. •Read and interpret construction prints, bore plans, and utility locates. •Verify depth requirements and ensure safe clearance from existing utilities. •Perform potholing and visual verification of existing underground utilities. •Maintain bore logs and production documentation. •Assist with drill setup, teardown, and site preparation as needed. •Conduct pre-job safety meetings and adhere to OSHA and company safety standards. Qualifications: •1–3 years of experience as a Directional Drill Locator in telecom or utility construction. •Strong knowledge of underground utility locating and 811 processes. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret construction drawings and bore profiles. •Operational familiarity with tracking systems such as Digitrak or Subsite. •Valid CDL preferred; ability and willingness to obtain a CDL upon hire required.
