This role serves to support the NSTP team. •Evaluate transmitted field diagnostics data for accuracy. •Interact with responders in the field to improve data quality as needed •Interact with the Joint Technical Operations Team (JTOT) and NSTP Standards division to ensure data accuracy standards are met. •Partner cross-functionally with the NSTP Curriculum Development and Training teams to ensure training activities and exercises are well coordinated with the THT. •All other duties as assigned. •Approximate travel requirement up to 20%. Qualifications: •Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering/science related field or an Associate’s Degree or other certification in Health Physics or Radiation Protection and 6+ years’ experience •Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. •Willingness to work in an environment that changes rapidly. •Must be an independent, self-starter with excellent organizational skills and an ability to multi-task and be comfortable working with a team of technical experts in varying fields of security and emergency operations disciplines. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. •Demonstrated capacity to perform in a dynamic environment. •DOE site access and JTOT interactions will require the qualified candidate be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance. The candidate’s written consent to conduct a background check for the purposes of obtaining a security clearance may be required as a condition of employment. •Ongoing reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal substances may be conducted as a requirement for ongoing access to DOE sites; the candidate’s written consent to conduct such tests may be required as a condition of employment. •Able to sit for extended periods and perform work in an office environment, including extensive use of computers, under sometimes stressful conditions. •Able to work after hours when required during exercises.
