Hiring: Diabetes Educator - Endocrinology - Full-Time Company: Erlanger Location: Chattanooga, TN Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:38:37 Target Skills & Keywords : BLS About the job Required Skills: •Certified Diabetes Educator or certification eligible RN, RD, Pharm D or Social Worker employed by Erlanger Medical Center is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of the patient under the supervision of a Physician or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. •Establishes and coordinates the diabetes self-management training for patients with diabetes. The majority of patients seen are adults. Participates in client centered case management and coordinates multidisciplinary plan of care. •The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide education to adult learners. •Teaches diabetes self-management to individuals and classes. Helps manage outcomes. Assist with other activities that promote and encourage diabetes education as assigned. Qualifications: •Graduate from an approved program in dietetics/nutrition or a Registered Nurse or Certified Diabetes Educator. CDE eligible Pharm D or Social Worker. •A minimum of three years of progressive experience in a hospital or clinic setting required. Experience in Insulin Pump Education •Current professional registration required.
