Required Skills: •Partner with Software Engineering to architect and design infrastructure solutions — in the cloud or on-premises — for new and existing applications and features. •Design and develop tools and frameworks that enable continuous integration and automated infrastructure management across all layers of the cloud stack, including servers, storage, networking, operating systems, management infrastructure, applications, monitoring, and alerting. •Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Ansible/AWX, and Puppet to provision and manage Azure and on-premises infrastructure — including virtual machines, App Services, Service Bus, Storage Accounts, networking (NSGs, load balancers), Key Vault, ACR, and Kubernetes clusters —at scale. •Own the observability onboarding process for new applications — implementing metrics collection via Telegraf, OpenTelemetry, or native cloud sources, routing metrics through Prometheus into Grafana, and managing Grafana alerting and PagerDuty integrations via Terraform. •Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to maintain the stability and performance of production services. •Develop a deep understanding of the architecture and operational characteristics of the Alarm.com cloud platform and implement solutions that improve system reliability, performance, and predictability. •Evaluate, architect, and implement infrastructure solutions and migrate on-premises workloads to hyperscaler environments including AWS and Azure. •Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across development, staging, and production environments. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. •Applied hands-on capability in cloud and virtualization technologies including VMware, AWS, and Azure. •Solid functional working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems in enterprise environments. •Operational familiarity with server monitoring and application performance monitoring solutions such as Telegraf, Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics. •Operational familiarity with secrets and artifact management technologies including Vault and Artifactory. •Operational familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Rancher. •Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. •Strong problem-solving skills and a self-directed approach to investigating and resolving technical issues. •Please note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.
