As such, it is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in our •Collective Bargaining Agreement with CWA Local 1180. •Data entry: Manage and maintain a database with over one million contacts, including entering tasks, updating account information, and creating new accounts. •Gift entry: Enter checks, process credit card gifts, create EFT/Stock gift opportunities, and more. You will also serve as the department contact for all matching gifts. •Data hygiene & maintenance: Update and edit Salesforce entries to support data management and reporting, such as verifying and standardizing address information, cleaning up contact information, and updating records. •Donor Stewardship and Correspondence: Create acknowledgment letters and send to donors, coordinating with other Development team members as appropriate •Support Donor Inquiries/Requests: Provide excellent customer service to donors as you update credit card info, cancel recurring gifts, assist donors with online donations, etc. •Meeting/ Scheduling Support: Support the Chief Development Officer in scheduling internal and external meetings with partners, donors, and board members, and support in drafting meeting prep, minutes, and follow-up as necessary. Qualifications: •At least 1-2 years of experience working with relational databases, including data entry, as well as experience with events •Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills •Solid organization skills, multi-tasking ability, and attention to detail •Demonstrated capacity to be flexible and adaptable in order to contribute to problem-solving activities within a growing, changing organization, working both independently and collaboratively •Cultural competence/humility and the ability to thrive in a diverse work environment •Demonstrated capacity to practice the utmost discretion and understand and respect the confidentiality of donor information •Demonstrated capacity to be flexible and take on ad hoc tasks with a can-do attitude •At least 1-2 years of donor database and CRM experience, preferably Salesforce •Strong computer skills, with expert proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word mail merge functions), and Asana and other project management tools •The Development Associate will be required to be at the Brooklyn headquarters one day a week on a regular basis and other times as needed. Up to 10% of the job is dedicated to travel.
