Must reside within Coconino County upon appointment to the position. Must be a high school graduate or possess a G.E.D. Required Skills: •Maintains the safety and physical security of the Jail facility •Responds to and manages emergency or crisis situations, using communication skills to resolve volatile situations •Responds to and manages life-threatening, potential life-threatening and hazardous situations •Manages housing units of up to 144 occupants •Controls, supervises and documents the movement and activities of inmates •Conducts inspections, searches (including pat-downs and strip searches) and security checks of inmate housing areas •Administers first aid including exposure to blood and bio-hazardous materials •Maintains detention records Qualifications: •Must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien. Must be 18 years of age at time of appointment to the position. Must reside within Coconino County upon appointment to the position.
