Hiring: Deputy Chief, Talent Acquisition Company: The School District of Philadelphia Location: Philadelphia, PA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 12:14:51 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •Develops District-wide recruitment strategy for instructional, school-based, operational, and central office position. •Leads workforce planning initiatives and forecasts staffing needs. •Develops annual hiring plan; establishes recruitment priorities aligned to District goals. •Provide executive oversight of teacher recruitment, school leader recruitment, central office recruitment, operations recruitment, hard-to-fill positions, executive searches, and internal mobility. •Establishes recruitment priorities aligned to District goals. •Develops Talent pipelines and strategic partnerships with universities, alternative certification providers, community organizations, professional associations, national recruitment organizations, Historically Black Colleges and Universities and diverse educator networks. •Strengthens SDP's employment brand and increases visibility. •Improves candidate experience during recruitment and onboarding. Qualifications: •Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Educational Leadership, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. •SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred. •Oracle HCM and Taleo experience preferred. •Public education or other large, unionized organization preferred. •Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide workforce transformation initiatives preferred. •All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume. •The principles and practices of public personnel policies as they affect a large urban district. •The current practices, methods and techniques utilized in the comprehensive recruitment and selection of qualified candidates for instructional and administrative positions. •Comprehensive staffing and onboarding functions in a large urban organization. o supervisory methods and techniques. •Explain personnel policies and contract provisions to administrators and District personnel.
