Required Skills: •Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products according. Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications. •Grind, file, sand and polish metal surfaces to a specified shape and smoothness using hand tools. •Remove metal burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with power tools. •Verify dimensions and radius, using micrometers, dial indicators and calipers. •Ensure organized and clean work areas. •Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: •Demonstrated capacity to read and understand drawings, schematics, blue prints, work instructions and use standard machine shop tools. •Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others. •Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. English proficiency is required. •Needs to be self-motivated and must be able to work independently on assignments with minimal oversight or direction. •Demonstrated capacity to interact effectively with supervision, management and customer representatives. •High attention to detail and accuracy. •Knowledge of basic shop math. •Demonstrated knowledge of workplace Health and Safety requirements. •Demonstrated capacity to work overtime as required.
