The specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. •Reviews and assists in database applications and file design to provide system efficiency, integrity and security. •Performs production turnover on time, following standards and guidelines. •Provides IS staff support in database technology, by creating and maintaining databases, customizing related software and creating procedures. •Installs new product releases, and coordinates integration over databases and platforms. •Conducts new technology investigations and evaluations, and makes recommendations to management to support NJ TRANSIT's Information Systems requirements. •Trains IS personnel and end-users in RDBMS/DBMS technology. •Provides, during a scheduled period, support to all databases, support jobs and application staff in a 7-day-24 hour environment.
