Required Skills: •Coordinate use of and monitor data network equipment, wireless equipment, transport equipment, and switching equipment. •Uses multiple NMS’s (network management software) to monitor and provision customer access equipment. •Coordinate tasks, technicians, and material to complete required jobs. •Use multiple networks and alarm monitoring software to identify network troubles. Troubleshooting or dispatching as needed to resolve all network issues. •Support staff, technicians, and customers with troubleshooting network issues, hardware set up and configuring, and software issues. Components may include but are not limited to customer management software, broadband and voice delivery equipment, wireless and residential Wi-Fi •Identify upgrades and replacements, growth, and network needs for budgetary planning. •Provision, upgrade, and maintain layer 2 switches and some routing. •Provision, upgrade, and maintain wireless networks. Qualifications: •2 year /associate degree program with an Information Technology, Networking, or Telecommunications focused major, or a degree from a similarly related field of study. •4 years / bachelor’s degree with an Information Technology, Networking, or Telecommunications focused major, or a degree from a similarly related field of study.
