Required Skills: •Prescient Edge is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support a Federal Government client. •Please note that the availability of this position is contingent upon contract award. •Oversee metadata management, data lineage tracking, and regulatory compliance for all datasets stored within the Data Lake environment. •Integrate Unity Catalog and OpenLineage methodologies to enhance discoverability, classification, and security of mission-critical datasets. •Implement role-based access control (RBAC) measures, ensuring that authorized personnel access data per DoD and NIST 800-53 compliance guidelines. •Submit the Data Governance & Compliance Report, providing an assessment of data lineage, regulatory adherence, and metadata completeness. Qualifications: •A Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in data governance. •Desirable but not required certifications include Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
