Required Skills: •Prescient Edge is seeking a Data Governance & Metadata Scientist to support a Federal Government client. •Please note that the availability of this position is contingent upon contract award. •Data Governance & Metadata Scientists (Specialized in data lineage and metadata governance, ensuring metadata consistency and synchronization between Databricks, Kubernetes, and research dashboards; tracking data lineage and provenance). •Shall support ontology-driven decision support systems, mapping structured and unstructured datasets to enhance data interoperability. •Shall develop automated metadata validation and quality control mechanisms, ensuring research datasets maintain compliance with DoD governance frameworks. •Shall utilize Azure-native indexing services, where feasible, such as Cognitive Search, to implement federated metadata and research product discovery pipelines. •Shall submit the Data Governance & Metadata Validation Report, detailing data lineage improvements, governance effectiveness, and compliance findings. •Data Governance & Metadata Scientists (Responsible for API-based ingestion, data acquisition from storage containers, and ETL processing in a Data Catalog, ensuring metadata accuracy and lineage tracking.) Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Management, GIS, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in data governance, metadata management, or geospatial data integration. •Desirable but not required certifications include Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or ESRI Geospatial Data Management Certification. •Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a clearance.
