Required Skills: •Within Aeroflow, the SQL Engineering team builds and supports the databases, data pipelines, and application logic that power critical operational workflows across the organization. •Our environment combines deeply established Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) systems with a growing AWS cloud ecosystem. As Aeroflow continues to scale, the team is focused not only on supporting today’s environment, but also on thoughtfully modernizing how our data systems are built, deployed, and maintained for the future. •Who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, writing and optimizing production SQL, improving existing systems, and partnering directly with both technical teams and business stakeholders. •This is an engineering-focused position rather than a reporting, BI, or analytics-focused role •. While every week will look a little different, you can expect the role to be approximately •60% hands-on SQL/AWS engineering, 20% business and technical partnership, and 20% code review and engineering collaboration. •This position works on a hybrid schedule, three days per week in the office. •Design, develop, and maintain reliable SQL-based solutions that support critical operational and application workflows. Qualifications: •Strong hands-on SQL engineering experience, including writing and maintaining complex queries, stored procedures, data models, and production database logic. •Professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) or significant engineering experience with another relational database platform such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, with the ability and willingness to transition into an MSSQL-heavy environment. •Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and improving SQL performance, including query optimization, indexing, execution efficiency, and database design. •Solid functional working knowledge of AWS or another modern cloud environment, with the technical foundation and interest to continue developing cloud engineering expertise. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders, understand business requirements, and translate them into practical engineering solutions. •Deeper hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Glue, Athena, or related technologies.
