Required Skills: •Perform shop and field inspections of structural steel welding and bolting activities. •Verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, AWS standards, and applicable building codes. •Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection requirements. •Perform and document welding inspections in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. •Coordinate and review nondestructive testing (NDT) activities and results. •Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and code requirements. •Prepare accurate daily reports, inspection documentation, and project records. •Maintain complete and organized project files, including reports, field notes, correspondence, RFIs, and supporting documentation. Qualifications: •Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification. •UT Shear Wave Level II certification required. •Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction quality assurance, welding inspection, special inspections, or related construction services. •Thorough knowledge of structural steel welding, bolting, and applicable AWS codes and standards. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and building code requirements. •Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and organizational skills. •Willingness and ability to travel for project assignments. •Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
