Hiring: Custodian I Company: Toledo Lucas County Public Library Location: Toledo, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:32:33 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •The incumbent will demonstrate a commitment to the TLCPL’s mission and values including being welcoming, innovative, objective, accountable and collaborative. •Performs routine daily cleaning of facilities including cleaning of patron areas, restrooms and staff areas, in accordance with department procedures and standards. •Maintains appearance of grounds by routine policing of grounds and maintenance of landscaped areas. Performs lawn mowing and snow removal duties as assigned. •Performs meeting room set-ups, moving of furniture & equipment, etc. •Performs special tasks and project cleaning as assigned and in cooperation with other custodial and maintenance staff as needed. •Actively supports diversity, equity, and inclusion. Promotes a culture where all staff and customers belong. •Participates in staff meetings and training, communicates with co-workers and supervisors and may serve on various library committees. •Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods and ability to perform assigned cleaning, grounds maintenance, light maintenance and other assigned tasks according to established guidelines.
