Hiring: Critical Facility Engineer Company: Meta Location: Eagle Mountain, UT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-09 17:58:21 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords: Data Center Operations, Critical Facilities, Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Controls, Building Management Systems (BMS), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), CMMS, Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Vendor Management, Emergency Response, Blueprint Reading, CAD Drawings, Life Safety Systems Experience: - 7+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance field - Associate's degree in engineering plus 5+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 3+ years of experience, will be considered in lieu of 7+ years - 7+ years of experience in a data center or other critical environment (pharma, clean room, medical, power production, etc.) preferred Required Skills: - Hands-on operations and maintenance of critical data center systems - Accurate and timely completion of work orders in an enterprise asset management (EAM) system (Hexagon) - Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure and operations - Ability to respond quickly to facility emergencies using standard or emergency operating procedures - Regular inspection of equipment, buildings, safety routes, and grounds to identify abnormal or unsafe conditions - Troubleshooting, evaluating, and recommending system upgrades - Ordering parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs - Coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with processes, procedures, and standards - Timely escalation of issues to facility management - Assisting in scheduling and supervising vendors/subcontractors during maintenance and service - Utilizing building management systems (BMS) and monitoring tools in a control room environment - Physical requirements: use of hands and fingers; reach/push/pull with arms/hands/shoulders; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; lift and/or move 45 pounds or more; ability to work at a workstation for extended periods Qualifications: - Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems used in critical environments (preferred) - Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings (preferred) - Knowledge of critical facilities operations (preferred) - Knowledge of EAM/CMMS systems (preferred) - Trade Certification or state licensure in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC) (preferred) - Professional affiliations such as 7x24 Exchange, IFMA, Data Center Pulse, etc. (preferred) - Willingness to work a shift schedule, which may include nights and holidays Compensation: - Base pay range: $104,998.00/yr - $151,008.00/yr Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
