Hiring: Credit Analyst Company: First Horizon Bank Location: New Orleans, LA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 11:28:10 Target Skills & Keywords : C, Portfolio Management About the job Required Skills: •The Credit Analyst position provides analytical support in underwriting/analyzing commercial credit facilities and assisting Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers in managing customer relationships. •Interpret financial statements and provide financial analysis support utilized in underwriting complex C&I and commercial real estate loans. •Participate in relationship team meetings with management and credit partners to explain information in the analysis when warranted. •Analyze and prepare credit approval documentation in FHB’s commercial loan system. The Credit Analyst is responsible for accurately reflecting all loan terms, collateral, covenants, loan grade inputs, policy exceptions, and calculating credit exposure for a given relationship in the commercial loan system. •Identify and report material changes or trends in the financial statements of borrowers or guarantors observed in the preparation of credit approval presentations •Participate in internal credit conversations with PM’s, RM’s Credit Officers and senior management and in external meetings with clients and prospects. •Participate in portfolio management projects. •The successful candidate will demonstrate consistently high level of ownership of portfolio management metrics and team initiatives, flexibility in responding to RM/PM/senior management and client deadlines, high level of detail and follow-through, and independence within the framework of the role in assisting in achieving business goals. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent in specific work experience. •Operational familiarity with the processes used to analyze financial data. •Highly organized and detail oriented •Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines while delivering a high-quality work product. •Entry-level understanding of general bank operations and the commercial lending process •Demonstrated capacity to understand and communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in writing with business unit teammates and leaders. •Demonstrated capacity to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents; performs simple to complex calculations; effectively researches, analyzes and evaluates information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals Compensation: •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
