Hiring: CPI Product Application Engineer (Software) (2026) Company: Nexteer Automotive Location: Saginaw, MI Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:34:40 Target Skills & Keywords : C, C#, Embedded Systems, MATLAB, Visual Basic About the job Required Skills: •Be an integral contributor to a team of highly motivated engineers committed to the development of ECU SW for steering systems. •Plan, (develop, test) and track Feature design statuses for SW of electrical controllers. •Conduct failure mode analysis and design experiments (e.g. DFMEAs and DoEs) on planned designs to ensure robustness. •Support requirement traceability initiatives to ensure customer (e.g. DVP&Rs) and safety requirement verifications are completed. •Coordinate system level releases of embedded merged software (ie including calibrations) for projects. •Own and track problem solving activities (ie defect resolution) regarding complex hardware / software design challenges. •Act as a SW interface to a Customer Service Center team (that interacts directly with an OEM interface). •Partner cross-functionally with Nexteer’s manufacturing facilities to build and test prototype and production samples.
