Coaches, counsels and trains employees. Establishes and monitors work processes. Implement management policies and initiatives and promote teamwork. •Coordinate training for GAL volunteers according to program guidelines. GAL volunteers will receive 12 hours of continuing education yearly. •Ensure that office processes are followed related to case assignments, data entry and timely documentation per GAL/DCA standards. Cases will be audited per GAL standards. Ensure staff maintain confidentiality related to HIPAA guidelines. •Perform direct child advocacy as the court appointed Guardian ad Litem when there is an inadequate pool of volunteers to serve in this capacity. •Completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications: •A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. A High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered with an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources (DSHR). •Position may require overnight travel. •Position may require the employee to work evenings and weekends. •Position requires routine driver duties. •Position requires frequent stooping and/or bending. •Position requires frequent lifting: 25 lbs. •Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations. •Requires regular attendance at statewide staff meetings, requires evening training, requires occasional travel. •Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
