Required Skills: •This position requires a practical business-oriented attorney who can balance legal risk with commercial objectives in a highly regulated environment. •How You Will Make An Impact •Provide legal counsel on a variety of insurance matters for both admitted and surplus lines, including insurance regulatory compliance requirements, market conduct exams, financial and operational exams, producer and adjuster licensing issues, and consumer complaint responses. •Actively facilitate and support preparation, review, and submission of regulatory filings, as needed, including on rate and form filings, change of control and holding company filings, withdrawal plans, regulatory notices and investments. •Advise business leaders on legal and regulatory implications of strategic initiatives, new products, and operational changes, as well as on (re)insurance regulatory and compliance matters. •Review, draft, and negotiate intercompany reinsurance agreements, ceded and assumed reinsurance agreements, MGA agreements, claims administration agreements, and other (re)insurance-related agreements. •Conduct legal and regulatory research to help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. •Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments across applicable jurisdictions.
