Hiring: Corporate Counsel - Americas Sales Legal Company: Cisco Location: Atlanta, GA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-02 17:59:24 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords: Commercial Contracts, Technology Licensing, AI/ML Law, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, Hyperscaler Negotiations, Channel Sales, Revenue Recognition, GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, CIPP/E Experience: - 5+ years of legal experience, with substantial technology-industry experience supporting complex transactional matters for a multinational organization - Demonstrated experience negotiating high-value agreements with major hyperscalers (including on counterparty templates) and handling AI legal issues - Experience advising on generative AI and using AI-powered tools to assess and mitigate legal risk (preferred) - Experience with cloud marketplace transactions, co-sell/partner programs, and consumption or committed-spend pricing models (preferred) - International experience (preferred) Required Skills: - Expert knowledge of commercial, contract, and business law - Proficiency in intellectual property, software and technology licensing, data use rights, privacy and security, antitrust, and export-import regulations - Drafting and negotiating bespoke, complex sales and commercial agreements, including cloud, software and technology licenses, AI/ML arrangements, data protection agreements, and strategic alliances - Advising on AI- and IP-related issues, including model and data licensing, IP ownership and indemnification, AI warranties and liability, responsible-AI commitments, and emerging AI regulation (e.g., EU AI Act) - Providing counsel across direct and indirect sales through channel partners, distributors, and resellers - Partnering with Finance to structure deal terms consistent with revenue recognition policies - Serving as a trusted advisor to senior Sales leadership and Finance - Ensuring transactions adhere to internal compliance, governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements - Familiarity with data privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, EU Data Act) - High proficiency in standard desktop applications (Office 365) - Excellent English language skills (written and verbal) Qualifications: - Excellent academic credentials - Admitted to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction - CIPP/E certification is a plus - Understanding of revenue recognition and financial principles common to US-based publicly traded companies (preferred) Compensation: Not specified Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
