Hiring: Controls Service Technician I Company: LONG Building Technologies Location: Laramie, WY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 12:17:23 Employment Type: Contract About the job Required Skills: •Provide inspections and assessments of the conditions of control systems for physical damage, wear and tear, and signs of degradation •Perform preventative maintenance such as cleaning, part replacements, software updates, or system optimizations to minimize the risk of failures and malfunctions •Utilize industry experience to troubleshoot any issues with systems to identify and implement solutions •Effectively communicate with customers to answer any inquiries, offer guidance, and resolve technical issues •Educate system users about proper function and upkeep to products •Supply information to customers about investing into necessary replacements or vital repairs that are key components to devices •Keep record of all repairs and maintenance and properly reporting issues to the technical supervisor •Perform modifications to databases for supported systems to meet customer needs and equipment manufacturers recommendations, in accordance with LONG standards and contract documents Qualifications: •Demonstrated capacity to legally operate a company vehicle. •An aptitude for computers and/or mechanical equipment and a strong willingness to learn •Strong analytical skills in solving software and integration challenges. •Demonstrated capacity to interpret mechanical plans and specifications. •Demonstrated capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability. •Strong customer service and analytical skills. •Completion up to level 1 of the ASP Program •Solid functional working knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures •Programming and troubleshooting skill with KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell, and other equivalent systems •Computer programming or electronic technical degree Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
