Hiring: Controls Engineers- junior level Company: Intralox Location: Baltimore, MD Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:30:03 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD, C, C++, CAD, Java, MATLAB, PLC, Python About the job Experience: •0-2 years of related experiences •2 years of related experiences Required Skills: •Works under immediate supervision of senior team members. •Must Follow all defined instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions. •Designs in CAD electrical control panel layouts, bills of materials and schematics. •Program PLCs for control systems that include field devices such as photoeyes, shaft encoders, barcode scanners, solenoids, scales, VFDs, E-stops and other I/O devices. •Assists with the creation and teaching of associated training. •Assists with project commissioning and troubleshooting of system installations. •Perform control system inspections and verification to ensure installation quality and compliance with documentation •Verify that actual work matches all documentation. Qualifications: •B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or like equivalent from an accredited Institution •Has knowledge of commonly-used controls engineering concepts, practices, and procedures •Must pass drug screening and background check •Demonstrated capacity to understand and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings •Demonstrated capacity to understand manufacturer data sheets and apply them in practice •Demonstrated capacity to configure PLC’s, HMI’s, computers, networks, cameras, field instrumentation devices, and variable frequency drives which are used to control sorters, conveyors, and other related equipment •Demonstrated capacity to code, C/C++, JAVA, Matlab, Python or IEC 61131 Languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block) •Demonstrated capacity to develop electrical documentation packages, descriptions of operations, interfaces between systems, and be on-site during startup to coordinate and help resolve issues •Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship skills with engineering groups, customers, suppliers and subcontractors •A self-managed individual who is a team player Compensation: •$68,000 - $187,600 / year Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
