The Controller will play a crucial role in our financial management team, providing strategic direction and leadership. Required Skills: •Oversee and manage all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. •Develop and implement effective financial strategies, control systems, and processes to support the overall company's strategic direction. •Lead and oversee cost control measures to ensure project profitability and operational efficiency. •Conduct risk management to identify and address potential risks that could hinder the company's reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity. •Lead the financial planning process, including strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts. •Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial functions. •Conduct internal audits to assess financial status and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and the company's policies. •Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to the CEO and the senior management team. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred. •Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role in the construction industry. •Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). •Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly in MS Excel. •Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire teams. •Strong analytical skills and experience in strategic planning and risk management. •Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience. •High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. •Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to business process improvement. •Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, as well as experience with corporate governance.
