Assist in evolving business needs. Required Skills: •Issue and document all welding wire and flux combinations used for each weld on every vessel. When a welding machine is moved to another vessel, transfer and document the wire assigned to that machine under the receiving vessel. •Receive welding electrodes and wire and flux combinations; safely organize and store them in the welding filler-material storage area for inspection and issuance. •Maintain accurate checkout and usage logs for all shop consumable supplies issued to employees or work areas. •Establish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels for all shop consumables; monitor stock and report replenishment needs before shortages affect production. •Must be forklift operator certified or able to be certified within your first 30 days •Maintain a high level of urgency and greater than 99% accuracy in assigned work activities. •Identify and communicate opportunities to improve systems and procedures to drive efficiency and accuracy as appropriate. •Communicate regularly with the Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing regarding inventory levels, shortages, reorder needs, and material availability.
