Hiring: Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Technician Company: SOCOTEC US Location: Phoenix, AZ Job Posted Time: 2026-09-17 00:14:00 About the job Required Skills: •Perform laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and company procedures. •Conduct testing including Proctor compaction, sieve analysis, Atterberg Limits, sand equivalent, uncompacted voids, compression testing, and other standard laboratory procedures. •Perform asphalt testing including ignition oven, Marshall/Gyratory, maximum theoretical density (Rice), and related testing methods. •Receive, sample, split, process, and prepare materials for testing. •Accurately record, calculate, and report test results. •Maintain laboratory equipment, testing areas, and quality control documentation. •Ensure testing is performed in accordance with applicable standards, safety requirements, and laboratory procedures. •Assist with laboratory operations and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: •Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and industry-standard laboratory testing procedures. •ATTI/ASTM/AASHTO Soils and Aggregate certification preferred. •ACI Concrete Strength Testing certification preferred. •Training may be provided for qualified candidates with relevant experience and aptitude.
