Hiring: Configuration Manager Company: Astrion Location: Bedford, MA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 10:28:25 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Firmware About the job Required Skills: •Provide configuration and CDRL data manager (CM/DM), quality assurance, program/project, requirements analysis, risk management, and software engineering support services in accordance with the program’s Configuration Management (CM) Plan, Air Force SEAM CM processes, program development/sustainment contracts, and PMO practices. •The individual must have progressive experience in managing configuration of software, engineering documents, design drawings, engineering changes and notices, and planning/conducting design audits to enable Government ownership of the program technical baseline. •Provide CM of all relevant program artifacts •Review and analyze the development/sustainment Contractor’s CM program and data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance •Maintain CM files including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting records •Convene and manage the Configuration Control Boards, Technical Review Boards, and record approved changes and results •Participate in cross-functional change control boards to evaluate proposed changes. •Review and analyze proposed changes to ensure operational and sustainment capabilities are not adversely affected by the changes Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline, three of which must be in the DoD •OR, seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, five of which must be in the DoD. •IT CM experience within the DoD environment •An in-depth understanding of the configuration change control process, the role of the Change Control Board, and change control documentation •Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle •Demonstrated capacity to enter and manipulate data in a database •Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task •Demonstrated capacity to work independently and with a team Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
