Hiring: Compliance Investigator I - Marijuana Enforcement Division Company: Colorado Department of Revenue Location: Lakewood, CO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 13:22:50 Employment Type: Part-time Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel About the job Required Skills: •Conducts complex investigations involving multi-jurisdictional and multi-national entities. •Provides support to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies with information on marijuana practices, methods and licenses. •Prepares a checklist, documents evidence, and writes investigative reports. •Evaluates areas of tax status, business structures, financial documentation, asset identification, rights to licensed premises, liens, source of investment funds, reputation, civil litigation, criminal history, management agreements and contracts, accuracy of provided disclosures, and areas of fraud and misrepresentation. •Investigates criminal history and background of applicants. •Assess the license renewal application or change application and recommend approval, denial, or other action. •Coordination with other State and Local agencies. •Manages outreach for applicants who fail to make appropriate licensing payments or are engaged in activities that are not compliant with Colorado Statutes and Regulations.
