Hiring: Community Impact Capital - Director of Tax Company: Huntington National Bank Location: Denver, CO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 17:56:31 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords: Tax Strategy, Tax Compliance, Tax Reporting, Tax Planning, Tax Credit Investments, LIHTC, HTC, NMTC, Partnership Taxation, Tax Risk Management, Internal Controls, Process Improvement, Team Leadership, Fund Structures, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Requirements, Advanced Excel Experience: - 10+ years of relevant tax experience - 7+ years of experience with tax credit investments, including LIHTC, HTC, NMTC, or similar structures - Prior people leadership experience, including supervision and development of professional staff Required Skills: - Strategic leadership and oversight of all tax-related activities - Overseeing tax compliance, tax credit forecasting, tax planning, and tax-related risk management - Reviewing and analyzing partnership tax returns, K-1s, tax projections, and related reporting - Serving as subject matter expert for tax matters related to LIHTC, HTC, NMTC, and other tax credit programs - Researching and interpreting complex tax issues impacting an investment portfolio - Reviewing partnership agreements, operating agreements, loan documents, and transaction structures for tax implications and risks - Establishing and maintaining policies, procedures, and controls for tax compliance and risk mitigation - Developing and mentoring a tax team and driving process improvements - Leveraging technology and automation to improve tax reporting and compliance processes - Building relationships with external advisors, accounting firms, legal counsel, and fund administrators - Advanced Excel capabilities Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field - CPA preferred - Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and tax-oriented investment structures - Experience managing tax compliance, tax planning, and tax reporting functions - Advanced expertise in LIHTC and other tax credit investment programs - Experience with complex fund structures and institutional investment vehicles - Strong understanding of tax accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements - Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams - Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills - Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders - Proven track record of process improvement and operational excellence Compensation: $93,000 - $189,000 Annual Salary. Eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
