Hiring: Communications Coordinator Company: Larimer County Location: Fort Collins, CO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 14:13:54 Target Skills & Keywords : Accessibility, Project Management About the job Required Skills: •Design, produce, and manage high-quality print and digital content and materials, including brochures/flyers/reports, social media graphics, signage, infographics, and educational materials. •Coordinates public communication through appropriate channels, including the Department website, social media platforms, and other content management systems (Mailchimp, Public Input, COTREX). •Coordinates, scripts, and produces video or photography, as needed. •Prepares and produces the Department's annual report and board quarterly updates. •Serves as media contact for the Department. •Prepares and distributes press releases. Fields requests from the media (print, television, radio) and acts as department spokesperson where appropriate. •Member of the Department's emergency communication response team and implements associated communication alerts. •Gathers and analyzes data related to assigned communication projects, conducts research, prepares reports, and provides recommendations. Qualifications: •Three (3) years experience working with design programs, such as Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or in public engagement and outreach work required. •Four (4) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required. •Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. •Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
