Hiring: Commercial Credit Analyst Company: MSU Federal Credit Union Location: Illinois, United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 12:13:36 Employment Type: Contract / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Portfolio Management, Risk Management About the job Required Skills: •Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other data to assess creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants and prepare written credit narratives summarizing financial analysis and risk assessment. •Support Loan Officers in loan decision-making with timely and accurate credit evaluations. •Conduct ongoing reviews of existing loans to monitor portfolio risk and identify potential issues. •Assist in identifying trends in borrower performance and industry conditions. •Maintain up-to-date and organized credit files in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements. •Develop a foundational understanding of accounting, finance, and credit principles. •Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to gather necessary financial and business information. •Ensure Compliance with internal credit policies and external regulatory guidelines. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent •Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, sales, or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience and education. •Core Competencies that must be demonstrated by all Credit Union employees include Communicate, Navigate Change & Evolve, Solve Problems & Make Decisions, Plan, Prioritize, and Achieve, and Collaborate. •Communication - Effectively interact with others to facilitate sharing of ideas and clearly articulate information through multiple avenues. •Data Analysis - Analyzes and draws insights from relevant data. Takes action to achieve results beyond requirements. •Organization - Arranges work in a systematic way either on small or large scales. •Process Improvement - Spots processes that need improving and can implement those changes.
