Hiring: Coating Process Engineer I Company: Andersen Corporation Location: Bayport, MN Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:20:48 Target Skills & Keywords : Lean Manufacturing, Project Management About the job Experience: •4 year degree in Engineering (chemical engineering preferred) Required Skills: •Serve as a Process Engineer in our Bayport plant, supporting multiple coating lines, responding to day-to-day production needs such as equipment troubleshooting and quality concerns •Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements within the value-stream through new process and technology development •Use a science-based approach and tools to solve complex technical problems with practical solutions (i.e., design of experiments, process mapping, process capability analysis, pugh matrix, FMEA, etc.) •Develop and execute improvements in alignment with strategic vision of modernizing equipment, people, and processes •Manage the design, procurement, and startup of capital equipment projects •Partner with the Safety Teams to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements •Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability •Effectively communicate at all levels of internal and external customers Qualifications: •Strong aptitude in problem solving using analytical tools, making process improvements and technical writing. •Strong communication and project management skills with ability to work in a cross functional team environment. •Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools. •Desire to continue to grow and develop personally. •Demonstrated capacity to travel typically less than 10% of the time.
