Required Skills: •Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine programming requirements. •Calculate dimensions, tool selections, machine speeds, and feed rates. •Create geometric layouts from graphic displays. •Determine reference points, machine cutting paths, and the sequence of machine operations. •Run computer simulations to confirm that programs and machinery function correctly and produce parts that meet customer specifications. •Observe trial runs with internal customers to verify program accuracy. •Revise programs to eliminate errors and retest to confirm that issues are resolved. •Modify existing programs to improve efficiency.
