Hiring: CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift) Company: Volvo Construction Equipment Location: Shippensburg, PA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 07:37:38 Target Skills & Keywords : SAFe About the job Required Skills: •In This Role, You Will •Set up and operate CNC machine tools, including lathes and machining centers. •Perform rough and finish machining operations on ferrous, non-ferrous, and alloy metal components. •Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, setup sheets, tooling instructions, and process documentation. •Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify product quality and conformance to specifications. •Perform first-run trials and make machine adjustments as needed. •Enter and edit offsets and program corrections at machine control consoles. •Inspect parts throughout production runs and make adjustments to compensate for tool wear. Qualifications: •Knowledge of CNC programming concepts and machine setup optimization •A safety-focused individual who consistently follows established procedures. •Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team. •Professional communication skills and a positive attitude. •A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence •Demonstrated capacity to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift, frequently up to 8-12 hours. •Demonstrated capacity to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements while operating welding and fabrication equipment. •Frequent use of hands and fingers to grasp, handle, manipulate, and operate tools, controls, and welding equipment. •Demonstrated capacity to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, parts, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds independently and heavier weights with assistance or mechanical lifting devices.
