Required Skills: •Liability Assessments: Analyze investigations to make liability assessments, including reviewing first and third-party statements, witness testimonies, scene photos, and other relevant data. •Evaluate Damages: Evaluate proximate cause, negligence, and damages to adjust reserves accordingly. •Negotiate Settlements: Negotiate and settle claims within your authority, seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary. •Follow-up Management: Maintain an effective follow-up system on pending files, ensuring efficient task prioritization. •Serve as Intermediary: Act as an intermediary between the company, preferred vendors, customers, insureds, and claimants to facilitate smooth communication and recovery. •Case Management: Utilize the Adverse Stream system for case management, ensuring an organized and active diary management system. •Arbitration Contentions: Respond to and draft arbitration contentions, with the willingness to become certified as an arbitrator. •Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to privacy guidelines, laws, and regulations related to claims handling, ensuring full compliance. Qualifications: •Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and strong computer skills. •Arbitration Knowledge: Working knowledge of the inter-company arbitration process is advantageous, and certification from Arbitration Forums is a plus. •Licensing: Ability to obtain state licenses when required. •Additional Qualifications: Pursuing an insurance designation is beneficial but not mandatory. •Communication & Organizational Skills: Strong customer service, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills to handle complex claims and negotiate effectively.
