Formerly the Diabetes operating unit of Medtronic, MiniMed is now charting its own path forward with a clear mission: to transform diabetes care through innovation, access, and improved outcomes. •MiniMed is seeking an experienced •To lead the company’s global privacy strategy and serve as a trusted advisor to the business. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role will be responsible for shaping and advancing a privacy program that supports innovation, safeguards patient data, and enables growth in a highly regulated healthcare environment. •The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare privacy, strong business judgment, and the ability to partner effectively with executive leaders and cross-functional teams. This is a highly visible role that will play a critical part in supporting MiniMed’s public-company operations, regulatory compliance, and long-term success. •This position is ideally based at our Northridge, California headquarters •, with flexibility for a remote arrangement for the right candidate. Travel may be required. •Lead MiniMed’s global privacy strategy, governance, and compliance program •Serve as the company’s primary advisor on HIPAA and healthcare privacy matters Qualifications: •Juris Doctor from an accredited law school •Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction •Strong background in a law firm, corporate legal department, or in-house counsel role •Demonstrated experience leading the privacy and legal response to cybersecurity events and incident response involving personal information, protected health information or other regulated data •Strong executive presence and the ability to influence across all levels of an organization •Proven ability to build, scale, and improve privacy programs •Strong judgment, issue-spotting and solution-oriented thinking •Demonstrated capacity to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure •This is an opportunity to help shape the privacy foundation of a newly independent public company at an exciting inflection point.
